What is it ?

Living Together is the British Council's project on intercultural dialogue in South East Europe, with a special focus on the impact of migration on the societies in which we live and work.

The Young Activists' Network is a group of 60 people in their 20s, drawn from 20 different countries. Brought together by their shared passion for promoting equality of opportunity across the region, the Network first met in Krakow in March 2009.

At this meeting, a panel of experts identified two projects for the British Council to support with seed funding and ongoing support and development. These projects are Think Before You Pack, an information campaign for people considering migrating for economic or other reasons, and Eating Together, a campaign that will use people's shared love of food to promote intercultural dialogue.

  1. Soooo... Το Think before you pack

  5. Excellent work Aggelina for you and "LIVING TOGETHER"! I hope you had the opportunity to discuss the big problem of migration helping those people, who left their countries to live among us with our culture that is so difficult for them because they grew up in their countries without rights. Your goal should be to teach these people how to be civilized using dialogue and considering each other equal... incuding women.

  6. Excellent start Aggelina!
Through this blog it would be very interesting if young people could share their views on how Living Together Network and similar youth networks could contribute to the wider discussion around migration/inclusion.

  9. Aggelina that's a great idea!

Nowadays migration is an aspect of everyday life. My best friend has migrated to the US 4 years ago and many others of my close friend circle are thinking to move out of Greece. As sociologists claim we are now facing a new stream of migration. So your blog could not be more accurate!

    Keep up the good work!
